Our Philadelphia family dentistry practice philosophy is all about disease control and prevention! Dental diseases, including dental cavities and gum disease are very prevalent in our society. Our first goal when treating patients is prevention education, then restoring oral health and functions. When our patients’ oral health are at optimum then other elective dental care including cosmetic, braces, and implants can be discussed.

We also perform emergency dentist services that include bonding, root canals, crowns, and bridges. As a local dentist, we create lifelong relationships with our patients and their families and work to ensure that they receive treatments in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Dr. Mark Hoang

Dr. Mark Hoang obtained Bachelor of Science degree at Temple University in 2003 then he went on for dental training at the Pittsburgh University School of Dental Medicine in 2007. After four years of working as an associate, Dr. Mark slowly developed the passion and vision of how he wants to practice dentistry. That is why he set out to open his own practice and named it Avenue of the Arts Dental. Being the owner of his own practice, Dr. Mark was able to mold and customize all procedures that he wanted to do. Dr. Mark is a perfectionist and passionate provider that is why he employs the latest technology to ensure the accurate diagnosis which lead to the most predictable results.

Dr. Mark moved from California to Philadelphia in 1995. He attended Kensington High School and graduated in 1998 with the valedictorian honor. While in Kensington High School, he participated in many extracurricular activities and was named captain of soccer, volleyball and chess teams.

College years were hardest for Dr. Mark as he had to struggle between doing nails (yes, nails for the ladies) and studying biochemistry. Through the love of science and art of sculpting nails, Dr. Mark slowly sank into the field of dentistry.

He loves every aspect of dentistry, especially those that allow him to transform and construct beautiful smiles. No procedures are small, from simple fillings to veneers, Dr. Mark researches and studies the best techniques and materials to bring out the best results.

Dr. Mark has always been a big advocate for dental disease prevention and education. There are so many patients out there just wish to have a good oral health where they can enjoy simple daily life functions such as eating. His priority when treating patients is always oral health first.

Every patient’s condition is different and requires a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach and that’s why Dr. Mark set out to seek continuing education in areas of implants, advanced prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics (braces). Through these trainings, Dr. Mark is able to treatment plan and execute the procedures without referring patient out because communication with other clinicians may be lost or the views or techniques of the referring clinician is different and that would affect the overall treatment plan.

Dr. Mark believes a smooth procedure requires a thorough planning and preparing. That’s why he invested in technology, notably 3D cone beam machine. With this technology, Dr. Mark is able to treatment plan and work through the procedure of implant placement and root canal even before the clinical procedure. This will aid in the precise placement of implants as well as picking out the right size of implants for the particular implant sites. Dr. Mark invites you to come in for a free implant consultation and a tour of his beautiful modern facility. Patient’s comfort and best result are Dr. Mark’s best interest that’s why he turns to laser dentistry to assure patient’s needs are satisfied with a pleasant experience.

Dr. Mark is an Associate of American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), member of ADA, PDA, and AGD.
